69.10 SNOW REMOVAL. No person shall park, abandon or leave unattended vehicle on any public street, alley, or City-owned off-street parking area during a snow emergency. A snow emergency is deemed to exist when one inch or more of snow has accumulated upon the City streets through the duration of the snow or ice storn and the 24-hour period after cessation of such storm unless the snow or ice has been removed or plowed from said street or alley and the snow has ceased to fall and until all of the streets and alleys are cleared of all the snow or ice and the snow has ceased to fall or blow.
136.03 REMOVAL OF SNOW, ICE, AND ACCUMULATIONS. The abutting property owner shall remove snow, ice, and accumulations promptly from sidewalks. If the property owner does not remove snow, ice, or accumulations within 24 hours, the City may do so and assess the cost against the property owner for collections in the same manner as CHAPTER 136 SIDEWALK REGULATIONS CODE OF ORIDNANCES, GREENE, IOWA 644 propert tax. The abutting property owner may be liable for damages caused by failure to remove snow, ice, and accumulations promptly from the sidewalk.
